Cashew

Data from the Anaphylaxis registry shows that tree nuts are the third most common food allergens following animal products and peanut.

Defined by law, Cashew (Anacardium occidentale) is categorized as tree nut, although, botanically it is a kernel of a stone fruit.

The importance of cashew seed as a food allergen has been increased the last years and especially in children, cashew seems to elicit severe allergic reactions.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 5th International Conference of the Network of Online Registration for Anaphylaxis (NORA e.V.).

We are going to focus on drug allergy. Drugs are among the most frequent elicitors of anaphylaxis in adults but may even occur in children. Major demands and limitations concern the diagnostics of drug allergy.
